Korea - Vietnam Heavy Industry Company (now renamed as Doosan Vina Hai Phong Company), is a joint venture founded by Doosan Heavy Industry Company, Ssang Yong and Duyen Hai Mechanical Company. After nearly 2 years of prompt construction and machinery installation, in October 1997, the enterprise officially went into operation. Right from the early days of operation, the enterprise has focused on building product quality standards. By August 1998, Hanvico officially received the ISO 9001 certificate and the certificate of the American Association of U, PP, S, A. With continuous contributions to the field of heavy industry in Vietnam, in December, 2001, Hanvico honorably received a certificate of merit from the Minister of Industry. May 2002 marked a big step for Hanvico when the largest shipment was delivered from Vietnam to Mexico for the Al - Tamira project in Mexico. In August 2004, Hanvico obtained ISO 9001:2000 certificate and ASME certificate (U2, U, S). In September 2008, the company officially changed its name to Han - Viet Construction and Heavy Industry Co., Ltd.
In February 2009, the Company completed the handover of 33 tanks for the No. 01 oil refining project in Vietnam (Dung Quat factory), opening up a potential domestic market.
In July 2010, the company changed its name to Doosan Vina Hai Phong with 90% capital from Doosan - DHI Company and 10% from GS Global (Ssang Yong), and in December 2010, it continued to receive the certificate ISO 3834-2.
In March 2013, to match the actual situation, the Company changed the Investment Certificate. GS Global transferred 10% of charter capital to Doosan-DEC. In the same year, in April 2013, Doosan-DHI transferred 90% of charter capital to Doosan-DEC.
